What If Your Perimenopause Symptoms Are Messages? The Emotional and Spiritual Meaning Behind the Symptoms
What if your perimenopause symptoms weren’t just physical, but were actually emotional or SPIRITUAL?
If you are in perimenopause and you are experiencing symptoms that your doctor cannot fully explain or treat— symptoms like brain fog that makes you feel like you are losing your mind, joint pain that has no clear physical cause, or digestive issues that seem to come out of nowhere, there may be more happening than just hormonal fluctuations.
Your symptoms are not random, but rather they are signals. And while declining estrogen and progesterone are absolutely part of what is causing them, the specific symptoms you are experiencing and where they show up in your body often correspond to specific emotional, psychological, and spiritual patterns that are asking to be addressed.
Friend, please do not think that I want you to dismiss the physical reality of your symptoms or that I’m suggesting that they are all in your head. NOT AT ALL. Your symptoms are real and they need medical attention when appropriate. But understanding the spiritual and energetic dimension of what is happening can help you address the root cause instead of just managing the surface symptoms.
The conventional medical approach to perimenopause treats symptoms as mechanical malfunctions that need to be corrected. Hot flashes are a temperature regulation problem. Brain fog is a cognitive issue. Joint pain is inflammation. And the treatment is designed to suppress or manage the symptom without asking what the symptom is trying to communicate.
But your body is not just a machine. Your body is intelligent. And when something in your body breaks down or malfunctions during perimenopause, it is often breaking down in the exact place where you have been holding unprocessed emotion, suppressed truth, or unhealed wounds for decades.
When I work with women on perimenopause symptoms, we use the chakra system as a map to understand what each symptom is pointing to. The chakras are energy centers in the body that govern specific physical, emotional, and spiritual functions. When a chakra is out of balance, the physical areas and functions governed by that chakra start to malfunction.
Let me walk you through some of the most common perimenopause symptoms and what they correspond to energetically.
By the way, you can download the Rock Your Perimenopause Blueprint that takes a deeper dive than what I can present here. I’ll put a link in the comments for you.
Brain fog and memory issues often correspond to the Third Eye Chakra, which governs clarity, intuition, and perception. When this chakra is blocked or recalibrating, your mental clarity suffers. Brain fog in perimenopause is not just about estrogen affecting your neurotransmitters. It is often a signal that your old way of seeing and understanding your life is dissolving and a new way of perceiving has not fully come online yet. Your Third Eye is being upgraded, and during that upgrade process, you feel foggy and confused because you are in between one way of knowing and another.
Joint pain, particularly in the hips, knees, and lower back, often corresponds to the Root Chakra, which governs your foundation, your sense of safety, and your ability to stand and move through the world with stability. When this chakra is out of balance, your physical structure starts to hurt. Joint pain in perimenopause is not just inflammation. It is often a signal that your foundation is crumbling, that the structures you built your life on are no longer stable, and that your body is expressing that instability through the very structures that are supposed to hold you up.
Digestive issues like bloating, constipation, and nausea often correspond to the Solar Plexus Chakra, which governs personal power, identity, and your ability to digest your life experiences. When this chakra is struggling, your digestion struggles. Digestive issues in perimenopause are not just about hormones affecting your gut. They are often a signal that you are having trouble digesting what is happening in your life, that your identity is dissolving, and that you are struggling to process the emotional and spiritual changes that perimenopause is demanding.
Throat issues like chronic sore throat, hoarseness, or difficulty swallowing often correspond to the Throat Chakra, which governs communication, self-expression, and speaking your truth. When this chakra is blocked, your physical throat manifests that blockage. Throat issues in perimenopause are not just about thyroid dysfunction or acid reflux. They are often a signal that you have been swallowing your truth for too long and your body is rebelling against that suppression.
Heart palpitations and unexplained anxiety often correspond to the Heart Chakra, which governs love, connection, grief, and emotional openness. When this chakra is out of balance, your physical heart expresses that imbalance. Heart palpitations in perimenopause are not just about anxiety or hormone fluctuations. They are often a signal that your heart is carrying unprocessed grief and is trying to get your attention so that you will finally allow yourself to feel what you have been avoiding.
Understanding these correspondences does not replace medical treatment. If you have joint pain, you may still need physical therapy or anti-inflammatory support. If you have digestive issues, you may still need to adjust your diet or address gut health. But when you also address the energetic and emotional dimension of what is happening, the symptoms often resolve more quickly and more completely than they do with physical treatment alone.
I had terrible brain fog during perimenopause. I would walk into a room and forget why I was there. I would lose words mid-sentence. I felt like my mind was failing me. And I tried everything to fix it. I adjusted my diet. I took supplements. I worked on sleep hygiene. And nothing helped significantly until I started working with my Third Eye Chakra and understanding that my brain fog was not just hormonal but was part of a larger recalibration of how I was meant to see and understand my life.
Once I stopped fighting the fog and started working with it as a signal that my perception was being upgraded, the fog started to lift. Not immediately, but gradually. And what came in its place was not just my old clarity but a deeper, more intuitive way of knowing that I had not had access to before.
This is what I mean when I say your symptoms are not random. They are meaningful. And when you understand what they are pointing to, you can work with them instead of just trying to suppress them.
In my Rock Your Perimenopause Blueprint, I map the most common perimenopause symptoms to their corresponding chakras so that women can see the pattern and understand what their body is trying to tell them. This does not mean you ignore medical treatment. It means you add another layer of understanding that helps you address the root cause instead of just managing the surface symptoms.
Most women I work with start to see this shift within the first few months. Not that their symptoms disappear immediately, but that they stop feeling victimized by them. They start to see their symptoms as signals rather than malfunctions. And that shift in perspective changes how they relate to their body and to the entire perimenopause process.
In my 12-month program, working with the spiritual and energetic dimension of your perimenopause symptoms using the chakra system is part of how I help spiritually-aware women move from feeling powerless and invisible to becoming sovereign women who have stabilized their bodies and minds, authored their own stories, and claimed ownership of their dreams.
We also work on grounding yourself when you feel scattered, reclaiming your voice and learning to say no without guilt, clarifying the vision your soul is calling you toward, bringing that vision into the world as work that sustains you, and building sustainable income from your wisdom.
If you are experiencing perimenopause symptoms that your doctor cannot fully explain or treat and you are ready to understand what they are trying to tell you, send me a private message with the word “interested” and we will talk about whether this program is the right fit for you.
